ALLUVIYA





Alluviya is a flat-packed, hanging pendant lamp. The perforations in the sheet metal allow for it to be hand folded into shape. The complex geometry produces the intriguing form. Colours: orange, black and silver.



VIEWPOINT



Designed by Australian contemporary artist Amanda Shone. “Set within the festival site, Viewpoint offers the MONA FOMA audience a moment of separation from the festival bellow. Each participant climbs the ladder to the elevated chair, and is then isolated for four minutes by a closed trapdoor. Once seated, layered sounds are listened to through headphones that aim to draw the participant up while highlighting the experience of watching, waiting and judging”. Technical drawings were done for the artist, who exhibited this lofty installation at the art museums’ summer festival in Hobart Tasmania.

ALLUVIYA RECYCLED



Alluviya 'recycled' is made from used etching plates that have been salvaged from an artist’s studio.

The use of second hand material creates a more sustainable product and intrinsically a more engaging aesthetic. This product won the The Bricolage Design Prize 2011.



FISH NET FURNITURE



‘Fish Net Furniture’, is made from 95% recycled material. Materials: steel tube salvaged from a clothesline and recycled netting. Fish farming is a huge industry, especially Atlantic Salmon. This type of farming uses 'ocean cages' to propagate the stock. When a net is damaged the entire net is immediately replaced, it is not repaired and it is not recycled. This stool was made using salvaged steel tube from the iconic hills hoist clothesline and fish nets. This stool was shortlisted for the Bricolage Design Prize.



MOTH ALLUVIYA



'Moth' Alluviya: a bespoke pendant lamp. A collaborative project between Michael and Antoinette. the very talented visual artist Antoinette O'Brien, Sculptor and print maker. Antoinette hand etched unique images of various moth species into the aluminum surface.
